About
The society was founded in 1947, and we have continued to hold a variety of exciting and enriching events ever since. These include workshops, exhibitions, excursions, meetings, lunches… we also have our own darkroom! Be sure to check back on this website for more event news! (A current outline of events is here). For this reason though, we are very open to feedback and suggestions, so hit us with your thoughts at usydphotosoc@gmail.com!
In addition to occassional darkroom events, the darkroom is free to use for darkroom members (click here for more info) and we have tripods for free hire for all PhotoSoc members. Other equipment will be available for hire soon, so watch this space!
We also provide opportunities for members to gain experience on photo assignments such as events of other Societies, events of the USU and anything else we might be approached with! If you would like PhotoSoc help you find a photographer, click here
Everyone is welcome, no matter if you consider yourself a beginner or quite the experienced photographer, we would love to meet you! Make sure you join our Facebook and Flickr also!

PhotoSoc is part of the Universities Photographic Alliance (UPA) which means our members can go to select events of UTS Exposure and UNSW Photo Club as well. Together, we also run epic joint events.
