What do I get for being a Darkroom Member?
An entire year’s* access to the Darkroom during business hours of the Clubs and Societies Office. Your membership fee includes cost of chemicals and equipment maintenance.
You must provide your own paper, however, and if you wish to use different chemicals to that provided, you must purchase it yourself.
*Period between O-Week of the current year and O-Week the following year. For example, if you sign up as a Darkroom Member at O-Week 2010, you can use the Darkroom up to the second week of February in 2011 (that is, prior to O-Week 2011). If you sign up as a Darkroom Member in September 2010, you may use the Darkroom only up to February 2011 as well, so it is to your advantage to sign up earlier.

I have extensive experience with Darkrooms, do I have to meet the Darkroom Manager?
Yes. It is for insurance and liability matters. We risk having our privileges to the Darkroom relinquished otherwise.

There is something not right with the Darkroom
Please contact us at usydphotosoc@gmail.com and/or the Clubs and Societies Office immediately with as much detail as you can, such as what is wrong (it can be as small as we have run out of developer), when you found it that way, was it there when you got there, did you cause it (I mean, someone had to have used the last of the developer, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing).
Action will be taken, however, if it is found that you caused serious damage to the Darkroom. We have a record of all and any members using the Darkroom so we will find you. This may include placing a ban on you from accessing the Darkroom and paying for damages and/or replacement.
